If you’ve been thinking about getting a drone, then the Mavic Mini is one of the best value. It’s been superseded by the (more expensive) Mini 2, but is still being sold alongside the new model, for now at least.
There are a fair few differences between the two, but at £329 for the Fly More Combo – a £130 discount on the regular £459 price (which DJI is still charging) – it’s really good value and an excellent alternative if the Mini 2 is too expensive for you anyway.

Mavic Mini features
The Mavic Mini shoots video at 2.7K rather than 4K (which the Mini 2 can) and has the older-style controller which also means a shorter range. However, that’s largely irrelevant if you’re flying in the UK where regulations limit you to line of sight – about 500m.
Other than that, the two are very similar indeed, both lacking any obstacle avoidance and flying for around half an hour (which is very respectable).
The best thing is that it weighs only 249g, so you can fly closer to people and places. Note that you have to register it to fly in the UK because of the new 2021 drone laws.
Plus, the Mavic Mini has a 3-axis gimbal which leads to stable, smooth video. It also takes 12Mp photos but – and this is certainly not a deal-breaker – it can’t shoot in RAW (DNG) format like the Mini 2 can.

Oh, and it’s also worth noting that this deal is for the Fly More Combo which was previously discounted to £409 last Black Friday. That really highlights just how good this deal is: it’s a further £80 off for Prime Day.
The package includes three batteries instead of one, a carry case, spare propellers, a two-way charging hub (which acts like a power bank to charge your phone and other stuff) and prop guards for indoor flying (or for beginners).
