The OnePlus 9 series of phones is here and, for the first time, there are three devices to choose from, although not in the UK. Here’s everything you need to know about the release dates, prices and specs.
Announced on 23 March as promised, the OnePlus 9 phones have various release dates.
Before we get any further, the OnePlus 9R is not coming to the UK or US because it’s made for the Indian market. The firm did announce the OnePlus Watch, though.
Back to the core models and the 9 Pro arrives first on 31 March with the regular OnePlus 9 coming later on 26 April.

What are the OnePlus 9 specs?
The headline feature here is Hasselblad cameras with the logo emblazoned on the camera modules. However, the only hardware is the Freeform lens on the ultrawide camera aiming to reduce distortion.
Both the 9 and Pro have this ultrawide camera and a 2Mp monochrome sensor for additional detail when shooting in black and white. The Pro has a 48Mp custom IMX789 and an 8Mp telephoto lens for 3.3x shots.
The regular 9 also has a 48Mp but it’s a slightly different IMX689.
The Hasselblad collaboration is largely about software then with a reconfigured Pro mode, an orange shutter button and a legitimate Hasselblad leaf shutter sound. The two firms have also spend months fine tuning the colour calibration.
Inside, both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 888 and come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256Gb of storage. So it’s elsewhere that they differ and you should read about the big design changes.
The Pro has an IP68 rating along with a larger 6.7in curved screen which has an adaptive refresh rate, able to drop from 120- down to 1Hz to save power. It also offers a 360Hz touch rate making it appeal to gamers.
While both come with a Warp Charge 65T adapter able to charge the devices to 100% in under 30 minutes, according to OnePlus, each device has different wireless charging. The 9 has 15W while the Pro goes to a whopping 50W.
