Get Apple TV+ for free for a year with T-Mobile

Finally, some good news for those on T-Mobile: from 25 August, the network provider will make Apple TV+ free to new and existing customers for a year.

Apple’s premium streaming service costs $4.99 per month, which means customers can save $59.88 in total over the 12-month period. The offer is available to anyone on the following plans:

Customers can redeem the freebie by signing into the T-Mobile app or their T-Mobile account online. Those on Sprint (now owned by T-Mobile) can redeem the offer by going to promotions.t-mobile.com and using the code 2021APPLETVP1. Magenta customers can also redeem the offer this way.

T-Mobile is making the deal available to customers who currently have or had an Apple TV+ subscription in the past too – for instance, via the 3-month Apple TV+ trial that comes with new Apple devices. You can keep your account and viewing history using your Apple ID.

The offer comes after T-Mobile experienced a cyberattack on 17 August, which leaked the personal information of millions of customers – though there wasn’t evidence financial information was also stolen. While T-Mobile closed off the breach and is investigating the matter, it’s also offering additional support to its customers, including two years of free McAfee ID Theft Protection, along with scam-blocking and account protection services. While those measures may help settle nerves, perhaps a free serving of Ted Lasso will also help.
