How to watch the Gamescom: Opening Night Live stream

Gamescom: Opening Night Live is the flashy headline opening event added to the giant German games show back in 2019. And while Gamescom is once again an all-virtual event, that doesn’t mean that Opening Night Live is going to be any less exciting.

Geoff Keighley and crew will be back for a two-hour event later this month featuring plenty of gaming news, including new reveals and plenty of never-before-seen footage and gameplay.

Here’s when Opening Night Live starts, how to watch it live, and what to expect.

What time is Gamescom: Opening Night Live 2021?

Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event is due to take place on Wednesday 25 August 2021, kicking off a three-day program of Gamescom events. The fun is set to kick off at 20:00 CEST, which translates to:

  • 19:00 BST
  • 14:00 EST
  • 11:00 PST

The event is set to run for a little over two hours, and although yet to be confirmed, there will likely be a pre-show that’ll kick off half an hour beforehand, as well as a post-show to dissect some of the biggest announcements.
