Microsoft 365 Family and Norton bundle just £53 for Prime Day

Great hardware deals make most of the headlines on Prime Day, but we shouldn’t forget about software too.

Amazon has slashed the price of a 1-year Microsoft 365 Family subscription, meaning you can combine it with Norton 360 Deluxe for just £52.95. That’s an incredible saving of £131.04, slashing 71% off the price of buying them separately. What’s more, both offer three months’ extra access completely free of charge.

Microsoft 365 is the company’s productivity-focused subscription service. It provides full access to regularly updated versions of the most popular Office apps, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. All the files from these apps can be stored in OneDrive, with 1TB capacity available for every user (6TB in total).

In the case of the Family plan on offer here, that’s up to 6 different people. Each user can sign-in with their own Microsoft account and install on one PC (Windows or Mac), one tablet and one smartphone.

The included Norton 360 Deluxe subscription provides a complete security solution for everyone in the family. Across up to five devices, it keeps you safe from online threats such as viruses, ransomware and phishing attempts.

There’s also a built-in VPN and password manager, alongside 50GB of cloud backup storage. The latter helps keep your important files safe in the event of a ransomware or hard drive failure. In our rare five-star full review, we said it offers ‘top-notch security’.

However, if you’d prefer, you can also bundle Microsoft 365 Family with McAfee Total Protection instead. The combined subscription comes in at just £52.93, saving over £115.05 (68%) on the RRP.

The McAfee software has a lot in common with Norton 360 Deluxe, although it touts ‘award-winning antivirus protection. You’ll also be kept safe from malware, ransomware, spyware and even unwanted programs installed on your devices. We rated Total Protection 9/10 in our full review, although there’s really not much to choose between them.

They’re the best two antivirus software solutions available right now, as our chart shows.

If you have no interest in Norton or McAfee, there is another option – buying a standalone Microsoft 365 Family subscription. This costs £52.95 for an activation code via email, but drops to £45.99 if you’d like a physical box to be delivered. Both are the lowest prices we’ve seen.

Keep in mind, you’ll need to have a Prime membership to access any Prime Day deals – sign up for the 30-day free trial so you don’t miss out. You can cancel within the 30 days if you’d like.

The same can be said of all three subscriptions mentioned here. They’ll continue at the regular rates once the 15-month period is up, but you can cancel any time before then.
