The eco-friendly Halo Capsule vacuum is now just £199.99

There’s a big discount available on the Halo Capsule cordless vacuum cleaner. It’s dropped to its lowest ever price – but if you want one, don’t delay, it’s a limited-time deal.

The Halo Capsule is one of the best vacuum cleaners we’ve tested. The independently made appliance was designed and built by an ex-Dyson floor care engineer, and it’s powerful and packed with great features.

Buy it from Capsule Clean for £199.99

The manufacturer’s site claims that its usual RRP is £307.98, but it’s more commonly available for £249.99. That means you’ll get a saving of at least £50 or 20% and there’s no code or voucher needed. Amazon is also selling it at a discount, but at £229.99, it’s not as tempting.

Alongside the main Capsule itself, you’ll get two cleaning accessories (a stubborn dirt brush and a crevice tool) and six dust pouches. The Halo Capsule also comes with a two-year warranty.

The Capsule is a genuinely innovative cordless vacuum cleaner. Thanks to its one-of-a-kind carbon fibre shell, it weighs just 2.6kg. It also features a large, 1.6L dustbin. By comparison, the Dyson V15 Detect has a 0.76L capacity, which – as we noted in our review – can be frustrating to use.

It has very powerful suction and a running time of up to an hour. Just plug it in and it’ll be recharged in three hours.

Unusually for a cordless, it uses vacuum cleaner bags, so it’s a great option for people with hay fever or a dust sensitivity. There’s no need to go poking around, trying to dislodge hair and fluff, or getting a dust cloud in the face when emptying it.

The bags themselves are plastic-free and fully compostable, making them an eco-friendly choice. The makers estimate that one dust pouch will last for two weeks, but when testing it, I got almost a month from each one, so it’ll depend on how often you need to vacuum. Pouches cost £25.99 for a pack of 26, which will last for a year.

The bags aren’t the only environmentally-friendly aspect of the Capsule. Its parts are recyclable and its makers encourage buyers to send it in for servicing, a software update and fresh filters and a battery, instead of replacing it in years to come. If you want to buy a vacuum cleaner for life, this is the way to do it.
