Vivo NEX 5 renders leak, here’s what the phone could look like | Digit

Vivo’s planning to launch a number of new phones in the coming weeks and months, and one of them is tipped to be the Vivo NEX 5. Renders of the phone have been released by Equal Leaks and Apple Concepts Pro, detailing key design features of the device. The renders appear to be based on the rumours of the NEX 5 that have been doing the rounds for a while now. These renders have also been claimed to be very close to the actual design of the phone by tipster WHY LAB.

As for the renders themselves, they show the Vivo NEX 5 will be sporting a punch-hole display with curved edges. Other than this, the renders also show the device will come with super-slim upper and lower bezels. Apart from this, since there is no mechanical fingerprint scanner, it can be expected that the display will likely feature an integrated fingerprint scanner. The phone will also feature a volume rocker and a power key can be seen on the right of the NEX 5.

Moving to the back of the phone, the Vivo NEX 5 render shows that it will feature a rectangle-shaped camera set-up with “Vivo | ZEISS co-engineered” branding on it. As we can see, the set-up includes quad cameras and an LED flash. The device is shown in the renders to be made available in three colours such as light blue, black, and orange.

Vivo Nex 5: Specifications

As for the specifications, the Vivo NEX 5 is rumoured to measure 168.5 x 76.5 x 9.2mm and also weighs 221 grams. The phone will feature a massive 7-inch AMOLED E5 display with support for Quad HD resolution and a high refresh rate. There is no information about the device’s chipset available yet. The device is likely to arrive in variants like 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB ARM + 512 GB storage.

For cameras, we again don’t know what Vivo is equipping the Nex 5 with. However, reports have in the past claimed that the phone will come with a 5x periscope telephoto camera. Other than this, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery. The NEX 5 will arrive with support for 80W fast charging.
