In summary
- Apps are crashing on Pixel 10 phones
- Seems to follow October OS update
- Wiping Google Play Services seems to fix it
Some Google Pixel 10 smartphone owners are reporting app crashes following the latest software update.
As Android Police reports, a number of Google Pixel 10 users have been taking to internet forums over the weekend to report serious instability.
This Reddit user reports that “After the October update, all apps have to started to [sic] crash randomly or just get stuck at the splash screen”. Users report receiving the “[App name] isn’t responding” message.
It seems to affect a wide range of apps, including X, Spotify, and Google itself. The app crash issue appears to be affecting all Pixel 10 phones.
The issue can’t be solved through the classic reboot method, though a partial solution has been found.

How to solve the Pixel 10 app crash issue
According to Reddit user PuzzleHeadedSquid, one way to fix the app crashing issue following the October update is to manually uninstall the Google Play Services and Google Play Store updates, then reinstall them.
The user says that they haven’t experienced any app crashes following their use of this method, suggesting that the issue is with the October Play Services update.
Other users have reported this method as being effective, too.
Still other users claim that a simple clearing of the Google Play Store cache is all that’s needed to fix the issue, so maybe try that first.
It’s worth noting that wiping your Play Services data will sign you out of your Google account
Hopefully Google is working on a fix right now to make such an inconvenient measure unnecessary in the not too distant future.
