How to watch Honor’s MWC launch event on 28 February

On Monday 28 February at 12pm GMT (1pm CET) Honor is holding a press conference at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Called “The Power of Magic”, Honor is using the event to launch its new flagship Android phone, the Magic 4.

It confirmed this on Twitter on 16 February, but we don’t yet know all that much about the phones. That’s phones – plural – because Honor will surely release both a Magic 4 and Magic 4 Pro to mirror the Magic 3 series, and possibly a Magic 4 Pro+.

The Magic 3 series (below) was announced in China on 12 August last year and hasn’t been launched globally yet, despite previous promises from the company. But as it has confirmed the Magic 4, it seems unlikely the ‘3 will see the light of day in Europe.

Honor also confirmed, again on Twitter, that the Watch GS3 will be ‘revealed’ at the event, despite it having been previously unveiled in China.

The Magic V foldable phone might also be featured at the conference, but that has also been launched already in China. Potentially, there could also be some new Windows laptops in its MagicBook range.

These have been good value (just like Huawei’s MateBook laptops), although we were less impressed with the most recent MagicBook 14, reviewed.

How to watch Honor’s The Power of Magic launch live

You can watch the launch right here: we’ve embedded the live stream below. If you can’t see it for any reason, you can also find it on Honor’s YouTube channel and website.

It has been about a year since Honor split from Huawei and became a completely separate company. And this means that – unlike Huawei phones – Honor’s new phones have ‘proper’ Android and access to Google services.

In fact, the Magic 4 5G series will be only the second range to have full Google support, with the Honor 50 being the first.
