The Telangana State SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) team is ramping up its recently launched QR code complaint system by including Hyderabad metro rail stations in its ambit. On Monday, Lakdi Ka Pool Metro Station became part of the women safety drive, when the SHE team led by Swati Lakra, Addl. DGP, Women Safety & SHE Team and Sumathi Badugula DIG, CID, Women Protection Cell, placed QR code stickers at various locations with a view to help women commuters in event of any distress.

The QR code enabled hassle free technology launched by the SHE team of Telangana State Police helps the distressed women to reach out to SHE Team for instant help. The QR code could be used both for lodging a complaint or sharing feedback on the service.

After the unprecedented Covid-19 induced shut down of 169 days, L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail resumed its services amidst all safety protocols in place from 7 September 2020. Since the resumption of metro services, ridership is slowly limping back to pre covid times. Currently metro rail is handling close to two lakh commuters daily, which is about 50% of the pre covid times daily ridership, HMRL said.
